The questions firms actually ask

How long are we committed for?

Monthly billing runs month to month and cancels on seven days’ notice, so the maximum commitment at any point is one billing period. There is no annual contract. Firms among the first ten keep the founding rate for as long as the subscription stays active, through any future increase.

Do we need a new website?

No. The calculator sits inside a page on your existing website, whether it runs on GoDaddy, WordPress, Squarespace, or a custom build. Your web developer pastes in six lines.

Who is responsible if a figure is wrong?

LexSheet maintains and versions the statutory rates and the title-premium schedule, so any estimate can be attributed to the schedule in force when it was issued. The fees your firm sets remain your firm’s responsibility. Your disclaimer appears on every estimate and should be reviewed by your counsel before publication.

Can staff change fees without the owner?

Only an owner can publish. Every change begins as a draft and is shown against the live version before it goes out, and each change is recorded against the person who made it.

What happens to the people who use the calculator?

The calculation runs in the visitor’s own browser and is not transmitted. Their details reach LexSheet only if they request the estimate by email, and are then delivered to your firm and retained for the period your firm sets.

What does the setup fee cover?

Configuring your branding and fee schedule, entering the municipal lien fees for the cities you serve, approving your website address, and checking the first live estimate against what your office would quote by hand. It is refunded in full if you cancel within 30 days of going live.
